Job Purpose
To drive revenue growth by managing and expanding strategic key accounts, building long term client relationships, and delivering tailored equipment and service solutions within the construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following functions:
• Own and manage a portfolio of high-value key accounts
• Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned to client growth plans
• Drive client retention, loyalty, and lifetime value
• Build deep understanding of client operations, capital plans, and project pipelines
• Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders
• Act as a trusted advisor, influencing strategic purchasing decisions
• Lead high-level negotiations and commercial engagements
• Drive after-sales revenue through parts, maintenance, and service agreements
• Promote full lifecycle solutions to maximise equipment uptime and customer value
• Monitor installed base and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
• Identify and acquire new high-value key accounts
• Expand presence in strategic sectors (mining, infrastructure, large contractors)
• Drive breakthrough deals and long-term partnerships
Minimum Requirements
• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
• National Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business management, or relevant field • 5–8 years of experience in capital equipment / earthmoving / mining sales
• Minimum 2–3 years managing key or strategic accounts
• Proven track record in managing large, complex deals Strong understanding of earthmoving equipment
• Knowledge of equipment financing structures
