Role Description This is a full-time, on-site JLR Vehicle Technician role based in Southend-On-Sea. The JLR Vehicle Technician will carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in line with manufacturer standards. Daily tasks include performing scheduled maintenance, inspecting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, completing oil changes, and addressing suspension and safety-related issues. The role also involves accurately recording work carried out, following workshop and health and safety procedures, and using diagnostic tools and technical data to identify and resolve faults. The technician will collaborate with service advisors and colleagues to ensure timely completion of work, high-quality standards, and a positive experience for every customer.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in vehicle maintenance and maintenance & repair across a range of Jaguar Land Rover models.
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair tasks, including diagnostics and fault-finding.
- Proficiency in performing oil changes and routine service operations to manufacturer specifications.
- Knowledge and practical experience in suspension inspection, repair, and replacement.
- Relevant automotive qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and a valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to interpret technical information, use diagnostic equipment, and follow repair procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and a customer-focused approach to service.
- Previous experience with premium or JLR brands is an advantage, as is familiarity with dealership workshop standards.
