Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team for a six-month internship. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development, mechanical design, testing, and engineering documentation while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of mechanical sub-assemblies & parts, considering manufacturing processes in metals (sheet metal, machining, casting, etc.) along with plastics (FRP, vacuum forming, etc.)
- Standard bought-out part selection such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, hardware, etc.
- 2D drawings, 3D parts & assembly in SolidWorks (analysis experience is a plus)
- Participate in cross-functional engineering tasks and solving technical and quality issues
- Responsible for coordinating with the Supply Chain
- Vendor interaction wherever required for part development or purchasing BOUGHT-OUT items during the development phase
- Involvement in testing and validation of the system and machine
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing 3rd year of Mechanical Design, Automobile Engineering, with knowledge of Robotics, materials selection and plastics. The candidate should be interested in working in product design and development, preferably in the Industrial, Automobile, Robotics or Appliances industry
Skills Required
- Knowledge of material selection as per the application and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of electromechanical design, prototype development & testing, and handling multi-functional activities related to product design
- Knowledge of adaptive & empirical design principles and their implementation.
- Good experience in 2D drawings, 3D parts & assembly design along with analysis in SolidWorks
- Creative thinker with a problem-solving attitude
Duration: 6 months paid Internship (15k pm)
The internship is mandatorily for students pursuing their Mechanical academic course.
