To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Indirect Materials Buyer in our plant in Arad.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Purchase indirect materials, goods and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering cost, quality and delivery targets and to ensure continuity of supply;
- Develop and implement purchasing strategy for their specific purchasing products & services in-line with Yazaki Group Purchasing and plant needs;
- Lead negotiations with the suppliers and strategic partners; preparation & presentation of the awarding decision;
- Market analysis – review and validate RFQs and Sourcing package;
- Validate the Cost savings in their aria of responsibilities;
- Build local / regional supplier panel:
define target list of suppliers for RFQ;
supplier relationships management;
- Contract negotiation and signing – standardize contracts for supply and services;
- Create, send and track the purchase orders to the suppliers;
- Monitor all open purchase orders and follow-up deliveries;
- Work with operations to identify areas of cost optimization, implement actions by consolidating, managing and standardizing the spend;
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process;
- Understand and follow European Purchasing roles & responsibilities and support Category buyers’ supplier strategies (preferred supplier base, reduction of suppliers, payment terms etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, Law or a related field, is a plus).Previous experience in indirect material purchasing, with knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, contract creation and cost breakdown, is appreciated.
- Fluent in English – upper intermediate level is a must
- Willing to learn and integrate within a country & regional purchasing team.
- Able to identify and add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and industry standard purchase order software platforms (SAP, Coupa SRM)
- Experience on facility management services and related contracts management is an advantage
