Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated HGV Workshop Technician / Mechanic to join our busy and professional workshop team based in Weeford.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a thriving business operating within a fast‑paced, time‑critical distribution environment, where you will play a key role in maintaining a large modern fleet to the highest standards.
Shift Pattern
- Night shifts:
Monday to Thursday - Alternative Saturdays required
The Role
- Servicing and maintaining a fleet of approximately 90 vehicles and 30 trailers
- Carrying out fault diagnostics and identifying mechanical and electrical issues
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections
- Completing weekly and monthly vehicle safety checks
- Performing mechanical and electrical repairs efficiently and safely
- Ensuring all work is completed to high maintenance and compliance standards
About You
- Previous experience in a similar HGV, commercial vehicle, or heavy plant environment
- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification preferred
- Time‑served technician experience considered
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Experience working on DAF, Volvo, MAN and Renault vehicles
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as part of a night shift team
