Heavy Equipment Mechanic Jobs in Midlothian, VA at W. F. Lane Construction, Inc.
This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy construction equipment that includes dump trucks, light duty trucks, skid steers, bulldozers, graders, snow equipment, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a heavy truck mechanic
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines
- Basic welding skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have full set of mechanics tools
- Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all business with a professional and respectful attitude
- Responsible for PM services and repair of a variety of construction equipment, dump trucks and snow equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs including tire changes, brakes, shocks etc.
- Keep the workspace clean and free of trash
- Repair or replace broken parts in a cost-effective manner
- Schedule future maintenance for equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation on work orders

Pay: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour
