The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced automotive aftersales and warranty professional to lead and develop the Warranty and Aftersales function.

This is a strategic leadership role for someone who enjoys improving processes, developing high-performing teams and driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a key role in restructuring and modernising the function, creating consistent standards across both departments while delivering exceptional support to dealer networks and customers.

Depending on experience, this role may encompass both Warranty and Aftersales leadership or focus on one area with broader responsibilities developing over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Warranty and Aftersales teams
  • Review, redesign and implement efficient operational structures and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.
  • Develop KPIs, reporting and performance metrics to monitor departmental success.
  • Ensure warranty claims are managed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer policies.
  • Oversee technical support and aftersales operations, ensuring timely resolution of dealer and customer issues.
  • Work closely with Technical and Training teams to improve technical capability across the dealer network.
  • Build strong relationships with dealers, manufacturers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, reduce costs and increase warranty recovery.
  • Lead, mentor and develop team members, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support business growth through effective aftersales strategies and customer retention initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, warranty and regulatory standards.

About You

We're looking for a commercially aware leader with a strong background in the automotive industry who combines technical understanding with operational leadership.

  • Significant experience leading Warranty, Aftersales or Service operations within the automotive sector.
  • Strong knowledge of warranty processes, dealer operations and manufacturer standards.
  • Experience managing and developing multi-functional teams.
  • A proven track record of improving processes, implementing change and delivering measurable operational improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working closely with technical and training departments.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance commercial objectives and service excellence.
  • Confidence influencing at senior management level.

Experience within commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, bus & coach, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or other OEM/importer environments would all be considered.
