Korn Ferry has partnered with our client to identify a Head of Technology Solutions Delivery with full accountability for end-to-end delivery across Customer Systems. This role requires strong executive leadership and deep technical expertise to drive large-scale platform modernization, including mobile, automation, AI, and data-driven solutions. The leader will bring direct experience delivering technology solutions within asset‑intensive, highly regulated industries, including utilities, power & energy infrastructure, oil & gas, industrial, manufacturing, medical device, aerospace, construction, transportation/logistics, chemicals or automotive.

Overview:

The Head of Technology Solutions Delivery is accountable for working with representatives to drive the strategy, planning, and delivery of technology solutions that enable exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence across the Portfolio. The role partners closely with business leaders to align technology investments with strategic priorities, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions that enhance service delivery, improve satisfaction, and optimize operational performance.

This position serves as the key point of contact, translating business priorities into scalable and secure technology solutions, focusing on IT strategy, planning, business readiness, communication, and demand management on IT service offerings. The position also plays a critical role in advancing digital transformation by modernizing platforms, leveraging emerging technologies, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer and workforce experiences. The incumbent must possess knowledge and understanding of company direction, strategy, operations, products/services, and key business process.

Included are the following areas of responsibilities: alignment with strategic objectives, roadmap development, end-to-end lifecycle management of IT initiatives – including delivery of solutions that meet quality, cost, schedule, and value realization objectives, program and project delivery, operational readiness, customer satisfaction, prioritization of IT resources, performance management to meet service level agreements, audit readiness, management of IT risks and issues, communications, and people management for both direct and matrix reports to include personal performance appraisals and career development processes. Accountable to work with IT peer directors to ensure alignment of priorities across IT organizations, ensure delivery of business solutions and to ensure continuous improvements to the portfolio of IT products and

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Operating Model: Serve as the primary IT partner aligning technology strategy with business priorities across operations.
  • End to End Solutions Delivery: Own the full lifecycle of technology solutions, including strategy, planning, governance, delivery, and ongoing operational support. Ensure successful delivery of programs and projects meeting quality, cost, schedule, and value realization targets.
  • Digital Transformation and Modernization: Lead modernization of platforms and applications, leveraging emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience. Advance digital capabilities including mobile solutions, automation of manual/paper processes, and data-driven decision-making. Foster an innovation mindset to continuously identify and implement new technology opportunities.
  • Enterprise Programs & Critical Infrastructure Support: Oversee technology supporting enterprise transformation initiatives and resiliency programs. Lead critical capabilities while using analytics, monitoring, and decision-support technologies to enable core business systems.
  • Resource Management: Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing technology talent. Develop a team that can execute the technology strategy and delivering value to the company.
  • Team: Overseeing a team of 100+ resources with direct and indirect oversight of both full-time employees and contracted employees (managed service providers, other vendor partners, contingent workers).
  • Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and customer-centric technology solutions that drive operational excellence and improved customer outcomes.
  • Ensure robust recording, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making to enhance safety outcomes.
  • Strengthen processes and work management applications to enable efficient business operations, providing reliable application support that empowers teams to plan, execute, and manage work effectively.
  • Partner with business leaders across operations, and customer service to enable critical capabilities and workforce productivity.

Experience and Professional Qualifications:

  • This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an applicable profession, business or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Preference is for a graduate degree in business, engineering, or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years executive or senior management IT experience required managing large IT organizations. Experience as CTO, corporate CIO or regional/business unit CIO preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years leading technology delivery within asset‑intensive, highly regulated industries (e.g., utilities, energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, mining, or infrastructure).
  • Significant experience operating at senior customer/client executive levels both internal and external.
  • Successful track record in providing IT leadership for large, complex or enterprise level projects/programs with substantial systems integration components
  • Experience managing multiple vendors/partners service contacts for third party software and IT resources for projects.
  • Experience developing strategies for AI implementation and transformation across the enterprise.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in creating technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead in highly regulated, safety-critical environments with complex stakeholder landscapes.
