Position Summary
The Head of Sales for Canada will be responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy to achieve revenue and volume targets. Based in Toronto, you will spearhead the launch and growth of the Geely brand in the Canadian market. This role requires a deep understanding of the Canadian automotive landscape, strong relationships with dealer principals, and the ability to navigate the transition towards electrification (NEV).
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement the annual and long-term sales strategy for Canada. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to adjust tactics and ensure targets are met.
- Dealer Network Development: Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new dealership partners across Canada. Ensure the network aligns with Geely’s premium standards and geographical coverage goals.
- Revenue & Profitability Management: Drive sales performance to meet business objectives. Manage pricing strategies, incentives, and inventory levels to optimize profitability and minimize floorplan costs.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing local sales team. Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and customer-centricity.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between Geely headquarters and the Canadian market. Collaborate closely with After-Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, and Product Planning teams to ensure a unified brand message.
- Market Expansion: Identify opportunities in key metropolitan areas (GTA, Vancouver, Montreal) and emerging markets. Oversee the rollout of new energy vehicles (BEV/PHEV) and charging infrastructure support.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all sales operations comply with federal and provincial regulations (including MVDA in Ontario), safety standards, and corporate policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in the automotive industry.
- Proven track record in a senior sales leadership role within the Canadian market.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence dealer principals.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Excellent command of English and Mandarin.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Canada.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, resilient under pressure, and capable of building a business from the ground up.
