We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Project Management to lead and continuously evolve our global project management organization. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our project management operating system, ensuring outstanding project delivery performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction across the organization.
As a key leadership partner, you will collaborate closely with senior executives, including VP and Director-level stakeholders as well as the direct reports of the Group CEO, to drive operational excellence and support the successful execution of strategic customer projects and business initiatives worldwide.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and drive the strategic direction and continuous development of the project management operating system.
- Ensure portfolio performance regarding delivery reliability, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with VP- and Director-level leaders and the direct reports of the Group CEO.
- Establish, implement, and enforce standardized project management methodologies (CCPM), KPIs, governance frameworks, and best practices across the organization.
- Build and develop a high-performing global project organization focused on throughput, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead the advancement of project management methods, tools, steering mechanisms, and reporting structures.
- Ensure stable and predictable project execution while effectively managing capacities, bottlenecks, and resource availability.
- Lead, coach, and develop project managers and the global project management organization according to High Performance Team principles.
- Standardize and continuously improve global project management processes and governance structures.
- Foster a solution-oriented, accountable, and high-performance project culture.
- Establish transparent governance, reporting, escalation, and decision-making mechanisms for critical projects in a global environment.
- Ensure the successful delivery of strategically important customer projects and key corporate initiatives.
Your Profile
- Several years of leadership experience in industrial project management, ideally within the automotive, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing supplier industries.
- Proven track record in managing complex multi-project environments under significant schedule, delivery, and escalation pressure.
- Experience leading and developing international teams and organizational structures across multiple regions.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production capacities, and supply chain dynamics, as well as their impact on project performance and delivery reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, make difficult decisions, and drive execution in critical situations.
- Strong systems thinking combined with a structured, analytical, and pragmatic approach to decision-making and implementation.
- Experience with flow-based project management methodologies, particularly Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) and/or Theory of Constraints (TOC).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and escalation skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels up to executive leadership.
- Professional fluency in English with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
