Head of Field Operations (Deputy Manager) – Automotive Aftermarket
Are you a results-driven leader with a strong background in the automotive aftermarket industry? We are seeking an experienced Head of Field Operations (Deputy Manager) to lead business growth, strengthen market presence, expand distribution networks, and drive operational excellence across Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business growth strategies to drive sustainable revenue and profitability.
- Achieve sales targets while increasing market share and strengthening brand presence.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, sales channels, and customer segments.
- Manage and support sales activities across distributors, dealers, workshops, and key accounts.
- Drive primary, secondary, and tertiary sales performance to ensure healthy market growth.
- Optimize pricing, inventory, and stock management to improve business performance.
- Expand and strengthen the distribution network to maximize market coverage.
- Monitor sales performance, business KPIs, forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Lead new product introductions and go to market initiatives.
- Drive customer engagement programs, digital initiatives, and workshop/mechanic development activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, service partners, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align local operations with overall business objectives.
- Train, coach, and develop distributor and partner teams to enhance performance and capability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards, and operational procedures.
Expected Profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the automotive industry, with strong exposure to the aftermarket sector.
- At least 5 years of experience working with spare parts distribution, dealerships, or automotive trading businesses in Sri Lanka.
- Strong understanding of automotive aftermarket products such as diesel components, lubricants, batteries, filters, workshop equipment, starters, alternators, and related product categories.
- Proven experience in sales leadership, distribution management, and market development.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in pricing, negotiation, and profitability management.
- Experience in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven business decisions.
- Experience working in cross functional and matrix organizational structures.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team development capabilities.
- Comfortable operating in fast paced and dynamic business environments.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field engaging customers, distributors, and market partners.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability.
