Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Core Banking to lead and manage core banking application initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep technical and functional expertise, and proven experience in stakeholder management to drive successful delivery and transformation within the banking domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the core banking application team, ensuring high-quality delivery and operational excellence
- Manage and mentor a large team (50+ members), fostering collaboration and performance
- Engage with senior stakeholders (C-suite minus one / Heads of Function) to align business and technology objectives
- Drive end-to-end delivery of core banking solutions, including design, development, implementation, and support
- Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business requirements and regulatory standards
- Oversee system enhancements, upgrades, and transformation initiatives within the core banking landscape
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, QA, infrastructure, and vendors
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure best practices in software development, system integration, and project delivery
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in core banking application environments
- Experience with Silverlake platform is an added advantage
- Proven experience in managing large teams (50+ members)
- Strong experience in stakeholder management at senior leadership level
- Solid technical and functional knowledge of core banking systems
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project/program delivery
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skill
