About the Role:
Sime Darby Auto Sports (SDAS) is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead the overall performance and growth of its premium automotive operations in Pattaya. This is a senior leadership role with full P&L accountability, overseeing New Car Sales, Aftersales (Service), and Parts & Accessories operations. The successful candidate will drive commercial performance, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experience, while ensuring full compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Financial Leadership
- Full accountability for branch performance, including turnover, profitability (PBIT), and returns
- Develop and execute branch business strategies aligned with annual plans and long-term objectives
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost management to optimise profitability
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to grow market share
Operations & Governance
- Ensure strict compliance with Porsche brand standards, company policies, and statutory regulations
- Establish strong governance and internal controls across sales and aftersales operations
- Oversee adherence to finance and accounting SOPs, including pricing, discounts, cash handling, claims, and warranty management
Sales, Aftersales & Customer Experience
- Champion a premium customer experience across all customer touchpoints
- Drive sales performance and aftersales effectiveness in line with CSI targets and internal KPIs
- Ensure service quality, operational processes, and delivery standards consistently meet brand expectations
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Heads of Department and branch teams
- Build a high-performance, customer-centric, and engaged workforce
- Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, training, and succession planning
- Develop next-generation leaders and critical talent within the branch
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key liaison with principals and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with Head Office functions and other branches to support wider business objectives
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Management, Economics, or a related discipline
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive retail operations
- Proven track record as a Branch Manager or in a senior operational leadership role
- Experience in premium or luxury automotive brands will be an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L management experience
- Deep understanding of automotive sales and aftersales operations
