We are presenting our client is a global leader in providing innovative equipment and solutions across multiple manufacturing industries, including Offshore, Automotive, Industrial, and Automation sectors to appoint an experienced General Manager of sales to lead the China sales organization.
This is a senior leadership role overseeing a team of more than 30 people, responsible for driving sustainable growth and strengthening the company’s market position in China.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a competitive sales strategy to achieve substantial and profitable growth in the China market.
- Expand opportunities with existing customers while identifying new and emerging markets.
- Define customer, product, and pricing strategies for local clients and contribute to global account development.
- Manage daily sales operations, including CRM accuracy and sales forecasting.
- Monitor accounts receivable risk and manage the sales budget effectively.
- Set and track performance criteria, focusing on growth opportunities to maximize sales results.
- Participate in the design and execution of marketing and promotional programs.
- Prepare monthly reports and annual sales & marketing budgets.
- Engage and optimize the sales team, implement professional sales practices, and ensure alignment with company standards.
- Train, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve performance goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or above, ideally in Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in sales and business development/ channel management within industrial equipment sectors (e.g., Machinery/Manufacturing Equipment, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Offshore /Marine Equipment, Wind Power, etc).
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead a large sales organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Fluency in English and mandarin
