Position Overview

Toyota of Whittier is seeking a proven and highly motivated General Manager to lead our dealership to the next level of performance. This role requires a leader with strong Toyota brand experience, exceptional operational leadership, and a relentless drive for results. The ideal candidate will bring the determination, strategic vision, and hands-on leadership needed to exceed sales efficiency, profitability, and market share expectations while delivering an outstanding guest experience and fostering a high-performance, positive employee culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all dealership operations including sales, finance, service, and parts to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Drive sales efficiency, market share growth, and profitability through strategic planning, disciplined execution, and performance management.
  • Champion a guest-first culture, ensuring every customer interaction reflects exceptional service and the Toyota brand promise.
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing leadership team and staff focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance standards across all departments.
  • Monitor and analyze dealership performance metrics and implement strategies to maximize results.
  • Ensure compliance with Toyota standards, manufacturer programs, and dealership policies.
  • Cultivate a positive, performance-driven workplace culture where employees feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer representatives, community partners, and dealership stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Toyota dealerships required; prior General Manager or senior dealership leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, market share, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performance teams.
  • Strong financial and operational management skills within a dealership environment.
