Movement Search and Delivery is partnering with a rapidly growing Tier 1 automotive supplier to identify and evaluate a General Manager for one of its expanding manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams, creating accountability, and positioning a manufacturing operation for long-term success. This individual will have broad responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement while helping shape the next phase of the plant’s growth.
What You Will Do
- Provide overall leadership for a growing automotive manufacturing operation.
- Build and develop a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational excellence across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity.
- Lead strategic growth initiatives while ensuring the organization scales effectively.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and serve as the primary executive representative for the facility.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve operational performance and profitability.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure world-class execution in a high-volume welded assembly manufacturing environment.
- Drive employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, and organizational capability.
- Manage plant financial performance, including budgets, capital investments, and overall profitability.
- Establish a culture focused on customer satisfaction, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
- Proven success leading a manufacturing facility as a General Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Director, or similar executive leadership role.
- Strong background within automotive manufacturing, preferably supplying major OEMs.
- Experience in welded assemblies, metal fabrication, stamping, or related manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead plant growth, organizational development, and operational transformation.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including budget and P&L responsibility.
- Track record of developing leadership teams and creating high-performance cultures.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, customer relationship, and executive leadership skills.
