This is a career-defining opportunity for a results-driven automotive manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You’ll have full responsibility for plant performance, culture, and profitability — with the authority to make key decisions and implement best-in-class operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all plant operations for a high-volume automotive manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that drive productivity, reduce scrap and downtime, and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements for major OEM and Tier 1 customers.
  • Champion lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen process capability and product quality.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and performance, coaching and developing leadership teams to meet and exceed KPIs.
  • Oversee quality assurance, maintenance, supply chain, and production planning to maintain seamless operations and on-time delivery.
  • Partner closely with corporate leadership on capital investments, new product launches, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, cost control measures, and P&L accountability.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through consistent delivery, responsiveness, and continuous improvement performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in automotive manufacturing, including experience with OEM/Tier 1 customers.
  • Proven success as a General Manager, Plant Manager, or Senior Operations Leader in a high-volume, precision manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma, SPC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated success improving KPIs such as scrap rate, OEE, downtime, and throughput.
  • Strong financial acumen, P&L management experience, and ERP system proficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills with a hands-on, data-driven approach.

Why Join This Team

  • Competitive base salary with executive-level benefits and car allowance.
  • Matching 401(k), comprehensive healthcare, and paid time off.
  • Significant opportunity to make an immediate and measurable impact on plant performance and company growth.
  • Stability and long-term career potential with a well-established and growing automotive supplier.
  • A collaborative, performance-driven culture that values innovation and operational excellence.
