Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fleet & Pilot Operations Lead – UAE to support the deployment and operations of an advanced smart transportation system based on swarms of modular electric vehicles.
The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical/automobile background with hands-on experience in fleet operations, vehicle assembly, operator coordination, and regulatory handling within the UAE. Arabic-speaking capability is essential for effective communication with local operators, authorities, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day fleet and pilot operations across UAE locations.
- Handle operator onboarding, coordination, scheduling, and operational support.
- Manage operator requests, escalations, issue resolution, and performance follow-ups.
- Coordinate vehicle registration, import procedures, approvals, and compliance documentation with relevant UAE authorities.
- Support assembly, inspection, testing, and deployment of modular electric vehicles.
- Ensure fleet readiness, maintenance coordination, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with engineering, logistics, and technical teams to support smooth field operations.
- Conduct troubleshooting and basic mechanical/electrical inspections when required.
- Maintain operational records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor fleet performance and recommend process improvements for efficiency and safety.
- Support pilot projects, demonstrations, and field trials of NEXT smart mobility solutions.
- Coordinate with workshops, service providers, and operational partners across the region.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, operational procedures, and local transportation regulations.
- Travel across UAE locations as required for operational support and field activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, automobile operations, mobility solutions, or transportation management.
- Strong mechanical and automobile troubleshooting knowledge.
- Hands-on experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and operational coordination.
- Experience handling vehicle registration, import/export processes, and UAE compliance procedures.
- Ability to manage operators, field teams, and operational workflows efficiently.
- Arabic speaking is mandatory; English proficiency is required.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently across UAE locations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with electric vehicles (EVs), smart mobility, or transportation technology platforms.
- Knowledge of UAE transport authority regulations and fleet compliance standards.
- Familiarity with connected vehicle systems and fleet management technologies.
