Job Overview
We are looking for a Fleet Mechanic who enjoys solving mechanical problems and takes pride in keeping trucks, trailers, and equipment running safely. If you are dependable, enjoy a variety of work, and want long-term career growth, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and drivetrain issues.
- Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, axles, and other major components (based on experience).
- Maintain and repair small engines and landscaping machinery.
- Conduct seasonal preparation and maintenance for summer and winter operations.
- Utilize shop specialty tools and maintain personal basic toolset.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding repairs and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic working with trucks, trailers, and small engines.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains.
- Experience with electrical systems and vehicle diagnostics is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- Must provide a personal basic set of tools/toolbox (shop specialty tools are available).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience:
- Mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic or similar role, 3-5 years preferred.
License/Certification:
- Driver’s License
- GED/Diploma
- Technical College a plus
