Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to take full responsibility for managing, maintaining, and monitoring the company’s vehicle fleet. The role focuses on ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained, regularly serviced, and operating efficiently, while minimizing downtime and controlling maintenance costs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate the company’s fleet, ensuring full readiness and efficiency.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and unexpected costs.
- Monitor vehicle licensing and insurance, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate insurance offers and select the most suitable coverage in terms of cost and benefits.
- Track fuel consumption and analyze operational costs to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Lead and manage the fleet team, including drivers, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Negotiate and secure competitive prices for spare parts and maintenance services.
- Develop and implement operational policies to improve transportation efficiency and overall performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and scheduled maintenance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicles, mechanics, and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
