This is a paid internship position for a duration of 2 years.
1. JOB PURPOSE
This position is situated in Dartford, UK (near London) and is part of an international team responsible for Retail and Wholesale Financial Services, working for Mazda Europe and some global markets.
The Financial Services function is related to Sales Finance (it is not “Finance“ controlling / accounting), and supports Mazda business units with dealer credit facilities and wholesale finance operations, loans and leases for end customers – usually with an external Bank Partner – and has many touch points to Mazda’s strategy, sales, marketing, finance, IT and risk functions.
Reporting to the Financial Services Team Leader, the role supports Mazda’s growing Retail Financing, CRM and Digital operations by liaising with internal/external partners, maintaining system operations and creating reporting/analysis for all stakeholders.
2. JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Retail Financing and Wholesale financing operations, data, reporting and analysis.
- Create high quality process and system description documents.
- Analytical and Data support to Mazda and Bank Partners.
- Monitor Financial Services systems, providing CRM and Digital services to stakeholders.
- Support Mazda, Bank Partner and Dealer teams with on-site or online training/coaching.
- Develop and support the quality and automation of Mazda and Bank Partner data.
- Support Financial Services Team in ad hoc banking and financial markets projects.
- Work with a variety of internal and external partners from different European markets.
3. Education & Experience
Educational level:
Degree level with a focus on finance, business, digital or comparable is preferred but not essential if other relevant skills, aptitudes or experiences are demonstrated.
Experience (area & duration) and knowledge:
Automotive industry, finance/business or digital experience is an advantage.
Languages (spoken, reading and writing):
- Advanced spoken and written English is essential.
- Fluency in one of Spanish, Italian, French or German (or other European) languages is also strongly preferred and an advantage.
Technical/PC/Software:
Minimum intermediate level Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI, Teams, Atlassian (JIRA) or similar is advantageous.
