Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Have basic have tools
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of industrial equipment and vehicles.
- Utilize OEM specifications and schematics to guide repair processes effectively.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely while adhering to industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on equipment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or hydraulic repair.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Strong mechanical/hydraulic knowledge in areas such as pumps, cylinders, motors as well as welding, and soldering.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (up to 50 lbs) as needed during repairs.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
