Job Description
Merchant Sales Executive will bring in a greater number of POS and KHQR merchants which significantly support issuing part once we enlarge our merchant acceptance and will also bring in sticky deposit and fee income. Furthermore he/she can build/maintain good relationship with new and existing merchants eventually can cross-sell other bank products.
Job Responsibilities
- Focus on growing merchant business and KHQR at the responsible selling region in order to achieve the given target.
- Under guidance/advice of the Merchant Sales Manager/Head of Cards, the executive must generate leads, cold-calls, and prospects potential clients/merchants; conducts in-person meetings to determine customer needs, and present information of the merchant products/services as well as cross-selling opportunities.
- Builds and maintains good relationships with key customers by visiting merchant from time to time.
- Educate merchant representative about Cards Acceptance Procedure and work closely with POS vendor who will provide training on POS service features and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with Risk and Fraud unit for ensuring that the requested appreciate POS functions are granted based on MCC and regular review the performance.
- Well implement/execute the merchant service policies and procedure as well sale and marketing programs guided by Cards Business Department.
- Track and enforce merchant usage by monitoring merchant performance and encourage/engage them to use Maybank as their main transaction.

Job Requirements
- At least bachelor’s degree/ professional qualification in Finance/Business Administration or equivalent.
- Good command of written and spoken of English language.
- Proficiency in other languages like Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills.
- High commitment.
- At least 1-year experience.
