Responsibilities
- Take charge of the whole lifecycle management of production equipment for washing machine workshops, including stamping, injection molding, final assembly and testing lines. Scope covers equipment selection, installation, acceptance, routine maintenance and scrapping procedures.
- Formulate and implement periodic preventive maintenance schedules to cut unplanned downtime and sustain uninterrupted production.
- Respond promptly to sudden equipment breakdowns, organize rush repairs, conduct root cause analysis and roll out corrective improvement plans.
- Optimize inventory strategies for spare components, maintain safety stock of critical parts and contain overall maintenance expenditure.
- Lead the equipment maintenance team, arrange professional skill training and regular assessments to improve the overall technical capability of technicians.
- Take charge of technical transformation projects and accelerate automated & intelligent upgrading so as to raise Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
- Guarantee all equipment operations comply with site safety codes and local statutory regulations in South Africa.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related disciplines.
- More than 5 years of equipment management experience in manufacturing industry; candidates with working experience in home appliance or washing machine manufacturing are given priority.
Required Skills
- Well-versed in PLC programming, hydraulic systems, pneumatic components and automatic control systems; capable of fault diagnosis and operational data analysis.
- Possess solid team leadership, cross-department communication and problem-solving capabilities.
- Able to work on the production floor and withstand intensive work pressure.
