About the Role
This is a rare and genuinely distinctive opportunity. Our client is looking for a Director of Strategic Alliances to lead and represent their presence across Asia – the region where several of the world's most strategically important automotive OEMs are headquartered
You will own and shape the company's relationships with these OEMs at the most senior levels, operating with significant autonomy while working in close partnership with SVP-level leadership globally.
The role carries real commercial weight: OEM relationships are a direct driver of revenue, and your ability to deepen and elevate them will have a measurable impact on the company's top line.
It is a senior relationship and strategy position for someone who understands how to operate at the intersection of global business, the automotive industry, and complex stakeholder environments.
What You'll Do
- Own and develop relationships with Asian-headquartered automotive OEMs at senior levels — including proactively identifying and engaging OEMs not yet in the company's network
- Support and enable the SVP and global Strategic Alliances leadership team in their own senior OEM relationships through relationship mapping, executive preparation, and driving quarterly business reviews and issuing RFx documents
- Ensure the right people on both sides are engaged at regional and national levels, and serve as the global escalation point when issues or opportunities arise
- Own the development and continuous improvement of high-quality, data-driven materials — presentations, dashboards, and scorecards — that are used daily across the team to manage and enrich OEM relationships
- Maintain and develop OEM profiles and all related content within the company's supplier relationship management platform
- Provide internal coordination and reporting to global leadership to ensure alignment with strategic objectives across all relevant OEMs
What You Bring
- 7+ years in complex, senior-level relationship or alliance management in large-scale B2B environments
- The credibility and presence to engage confidently with senior executives at major global organisations
- Genuine interest in and detailed knowledge of the Asian automotive landscape — OEM brands and sub-brands, ownership structures, strategic direction, and global production capabilities
- Strong analytical rigour — able to synthesise complex information on OEM financials, strategy, and market position into clear, actionable insights
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel required; Power BI or equivalent a plus
- A self-directed, intellectually curious professional who thrives with autonomy and takes genuine ownership of outcomes
- Experience coordinating internal stakeholders in commercial negotiations, project management, and people management are all assets
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
