JOB DESCRIPTION
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Director of Quality to lead enterprise‑wide quality strategy, compliance, and operational excellence across all five manufacturing sites. This leader will partner closely with senior operations leadership, engineering, manufacturing, and customer‑facing teams to standardize quality systems, strengthen problem‑solving capability, and embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned quality leader with multi‑site experience who can influence at all levels, drive measurable improvements, and define what “good” looks like across the organization.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
* 10+ years of quality assurance leadership in a manufacturing environment
* Experience in durable goods manufacturing (HVAC or automobile preferred)
* Strong working knowledge of Lean, CI, and Operational Excellence methodologies
* Proven experience supporting multi‑site operations
* Strong understanding of regulatory, environmental, and quality compliance standards
* Demonstrated success implementing quality systems, audits, and enterprise‑level improvements
* Experience leading cross‑functional teams and influencing without direct authority
* Ability to define and standardize quality KPIs, metrics, and accountability systems
* Experience facilitating root cause analysis, corrective actions, and structured problem‑solving
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage leaders, supervisors, and frontline teams
* Comfortable with 75-80% travel
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Master’s degree
* Six Sigma, ASQ CQE, or similar quality certifications
* Experience hiring, coaching, and evaluating quality managers or quality engineers
* Working knowledge of financial concepts and cost drivers (P&L exposure helpful)
* Additional Lean or Operational Excellence certifications
