Job Summary: We are a small family-owned business based in Miami, FL that specializes in school buses and box trucks. Key Responsibilities:
- Have mid-level to expert knowledge of diesel engines.
- Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical, suspension, hydraulics, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Identify defects in transmissions, steering, or suspensions.
- Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.
- Conduct safety and performance checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Use onboard diagnostic systems to identify failure codes and initiate repairs.
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- Work environment may be outdoors. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. Adherence to standard shop safety protocols is required.
- Extensive physical activity; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects 50-150lbs.
Qualifications:
- 2-6 years diesel mechanic experience (required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- ASE certification required (T-series for trucks; S-series for school buses)
- Providing your own tools (plus)
- Welding/fabrication (huge plus)
- CDL Class-B with School Bus and/or Passenger endorsements (huge plus)
- Ability to drive trucks/buses to and from maintenance jobs (plus)
- Background check will be done as part of the onboarding process
Salary is dependent on experience.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
