Up to $50 per hour (based on factors such as Diesel Technician level, Chrysler certifications, and job performance). Candidates should possess diesel repair expertise across various systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC, air brakes, electrical systems, and tire service to be successful in this role. Job Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, air brake systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance for a variety of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. Maintain and repair vehicle systems including shocks & struts, HVAC systems, tires, brakes, alignments, and powertrain components to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately. Perform preventive maintenance routines to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of vehicles. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment while following safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance needs. Keep detailed records of all repairs performed for compliance and future reference.
Effectively utilizes available technologies to enhance customer experience. Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area. Participate in required training. Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system. Follow Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrate the Company’s Core Values, Comply with Company policies and procedures, Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
