You'd be one of the first engineers on the team, working hand in hand with the CTO and playing a key role in shaping the product its initial stages.
What you'll do
- Test and validate diagnostics on real electric vehicles (BEV, PHEV), both in the field and remotely
- Connect to vehicles and extract battery data via communication protocols
- Investigate and integrate new vehicle models into the system
- Maintain and improve support for existing vehicle database
- Identify, evaluate and propose tools, methodologies and equipment that improve diagnostic capability and data accuracy
- Validate diagnostic results through controlled testing
What we're looking for:
Must-have skills
- Hands-on experience with electric vehicle (BEV/PHEV) Battery Management Systems (BMS) in a previous role
- Working knowledge of OBD2, CAN and UDS
- Ability to read, understand and modify code (ideally Python)
- Methodical research skills: ability to investigate technical unknowns from scratch and synthesize findings independently
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with real, operational vehicles in real-world environments
- Previous exposure to the automotive sector beyond BMS
- Fluent in Spanish

Background
- Engineering background in electronics, telecommunications, automotive or related field
- Practical, demonstrable experience valued over academic qualifications
- Mid-level professional experience — attitude and demonstrable skills matter more than years on a CV
- Preferably based in Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia. Candidates in other major Spanish cities, or those willing to relocate, also considered. Availability to travel 1 day per week for field testing in other major spanish city — variable, with weeks of full remote and weeks of local testing in your own city.
