Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Diagnostic Technician role based in Bahrain. The Diagnostic Technician will perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using manufacturer-specific and proprietary diagnostic software, tools, and equipment. Responsibilities include identifying faults, interpreting diagnostic codes and data, preparing technical reports, and recommending appropriate repair actions in coordination with service advisors and workshop teams. The role involves performing test drives where required, validating repair quality, updating vehicle records, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and manufacturer standards. The Diagnostic Technician will also support continuous improvement by sharing technical findings, participating in training on new technologies and systems, and helping to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment.
Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities in mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems, ideally with experience in luxury marques and high-end vehicles.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, OEM and proprietary software, ECU programming, and digital calibration or coding processes.
- Solid understanding of automotive engineering principles, service procedures, and manufacturer specifications, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and digital repair platforms.
- Effective communication and documentation skills to clearly record findings, explain issues, and collaborate with advisors, technicians, and management.
- Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Relevant technical diploma, vocational certification, or equivalent experience in automotive technology or a related field.
- Previous experience as a diagnostic or senior technician in an automotive workshop is highly desirable; experience with Rolls-Royce, Bentley, or other luxury brands is an advantage.
