Akkodis is seeking a Seat Systems, Structures & Components Design Release Engineer for our Contract Position (12+ Months) role with our client in Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay Range: $37/hr. to $42/hr. on w2. (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job description:
- Lead the design, development, and release of seat structures, frames, mechanisms, and associated components, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation including DVP&R, DFMEA, BOM, specifications, and release packages throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (packaging, CAE, manufacturing, quality, suppliers) to resolve design issues, validate components, and support tooling readiness and launch activities.
- Manage supplier technical deliverables, track design maturation, conduct design reviews, and ensure components meet cost, weight, durability, and timing targets.
