Classic CDJR South Charlotte is seeking a driven, results-oriented Used Car Manager to lead and grow our pre-owned department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and knows how to turn inventory into profit.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and acquire quality pre-owned inventory through auctions, trades, and direct purchases
- Manage inventory levels, pricing strategies, and vehicle aging to maximize profitability
- Oversee merchandising, including online listings, vehicle presentation, and lot organization
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive unit sales and improve closing ratios
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to stay competitive
- Monitor and improve gross profit per unit and overall department performance
- Ensure all vehicles meet company standards for reconditioning and front-line readiness
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or in a similar automotive role
- Strong skills in inventory acquisition and appraisal
- Deep understanding of market-based pricing and digital merchandising
- Ability to lead, motivate, and work closely with a sales team
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on profitability and growth
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
