YOUR ROLE
As a Customer Satisfaction Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and maintaining robust quality standards across assigned value streams. You will act as the voice of the customer within the organization, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with automotive and customer-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
Customer Satisfaction & Quality Performance
- Ensure customer satisfaction and achieve quality KPIs across assigned value streams
- Act as the main contact for customer quality issues and lead escalations
- Drive problem-solving activities and ensure timely corrective actions
- Monitor performance metrics and manage customer communication
Problem & Prevention Management
- Own the quality problem management system and coordinate containment actions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. PDCA, QRQC, Kaizen)
- Monitor production processes and prevent quality risks
- Support plant quality teams and process surveillance
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements (AIAG, VDA)
- Maintain quality documentation and support audits
- Manage Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)
Product & Process Changes / New Projects
- Ensure safe implementation of product and process changes
- Support PPAP and introduce additional quality controls during changes
- Contribute to risk identification (PFMEA) and safe project launches
Quality Assurance Development & Collaboration
- Support development of the quality assurance system
- Ensure effective implementation of quality controls
- Collaborate with internal teams, plants, and suppliers
- Act as the Voice of the Customer within the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience in quality engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of quality standards (IATF 16949, AIAG, VDA)
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, PDCA, root cause analysis)
- Familiarity with PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and audit processes
- Ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with customer quality issues and audits
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
