About the Role
Role purpose: Support customer onboarding by owning applicant communication and ensuring all documents are complete, verified, and packaged to an audit-ready standard, enabling fast and compliant credit decisions and smooth settlement.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for applicants after they apply (phone/SMS/email).
- Collect, chase, and verify application documents (ID, income, bank statements, address, employment).
- Validate vehicle/security information where relevant (rego, VIN, proof of ownership; support PPSR checks).
- Identify red flags (inconsistencies, potential fraud, hardship cues) and escalate promptly to the Credit Approver/Compliance.
- Prepare “ready for decision” application packs and maintain clean file notes in LOS/CRM.
- Coordinate and support loan settlement as required.
- Support continuous improvement of checklists, templates, and customer comms scripts.
Qualifications
2+ years in Australian consumer lending operations (loan processing, credit ops, or fulfilment).
Required Skills
- Strong document verification capability and attention to detail.
- Confident customer communication and ability to manage multiple applications concurrently.
- Familiarity with MACC / auto finance / secured lending highly regarded.
- Comfortable using CRM/LOS systems and Excel; disciplined record-keeping.

What success looks like: Applications are consistently “decision-ready” with minimal rework. Fast turnaround and low drop-off after application submission. Audit-quality documentation and clear.
