Seeking an experienced, customer-facing Corporate Program Manager to lead complex automotive programs from award through successful production launch. This is a high-visibility role partnering directly with OEM customers and global manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full cradle-to-grave program management from quotation/award through APQP, tooling, launch, PPAP, SOP and production stabilization.
- Serve as the primary interface between OEM customers and internal Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations teams.
- Drive program timing, financial performance, risk mitigation, change management and executive-level customer communication.
- Coordinate global manufacturing plants and suppliers to ensure successful launches, on-time deliverables and customer satisfaction.
- Travel approximately 30–40% to customer locations and manufacturing facilities across North America.
Absolute Must-Haves
- 10+ years of automotive Tier 1 program management experience.
- Successfully managed a minimum of three complete cradle-to-grave automotive launches.
- Direct customer-facing experience managing programs with Ford OR German OEMs (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi or Porsche).
- Experience with large BIW structural stampings, chassis stampings and/or castings (not plastics, interiors or electronics).
- Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, launch management, engineering changes and automotive quality systems.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams while managing multiple concurrent programs in a fast-paced Tier 1 environment.
Preferred Background
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing plants and global program launches.
- Strong commercial acumen with ownership of program financials, customer change requests and executive program reviews.
