We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead financial operations across Parker Automotive’s North Idaho dealerships (Parker Toyota, Parker Subaru, and Parker Auto Credit).

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with GAAP and manufacturer standards, and supporting our leadership team in driving financial performance.

As a Controller you will:

  • Oversee all accounting operations across all CDA locations and departments
  • Maintain the general ledger with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and company or manufacturer (OEM) requirements
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements in manufacturer formats
  • Submit financial reporting to the CFO and leadership for review
  • Supervise vehicle deal posting and reconciliation, including wholesale transactions, trade-ins, and cancellations
  • Oversee Service and Parts accounting schedules and warranty processing
  • Reconcile vehicle inventory and manage floorplan financing, including audits, curtailments, and payoffs
  • Track and reconcile OEM incentives, holdbacks, co-op funds, warranty payments and factory receivables
  • Ensure timely and accurate claim submissions to maximize dealership profitability
  • Lead and develop office staff, including A/P, A/R, payroll, title clerks, billing personnel, and administrators
  • Collaborate with CFO, General Managers, and department managers across all departments (Sales, Service, Finance, Parts, Detail/Accessories, and Office)
  • Maintain a culture of accountability, accuracy, and confidentiality

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (preferred, not required)
  • Prior Controller experience or public accounting experience
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proven leadership experience in accounting or finance management
  • High level of accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and communication
