ManpowerGroup Thailand is partnering with a leading large-scale retail and distribution organization to identify a senior commercial leader to drive merchandising strategy and category growth across building materials and technical product segments.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven leader with strong experience in category management, vendor partnerships, pricing strategy, and nationwide retail operations within complex product environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead merchandising and commercial strategy across building materials and technical product categories
- Drive category performance, sales growth, margin optimization, and inventory productivity
- Develop strategic supplier partnerships and lead high-level commercial negotiations
- Oversee pricing, promotion planning, assortment optimization, and product lifecycle management
- Lead and develop a sizeable merchandising and category management team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, marketing, and store teams to enhance commercial effectiveness
- Monitor market trends, competitor movements, and customer purchasing behaviors to strengthen business competitiveness
- Support long-term business expansion and omnichannel growth initiatives
Ideal Background
- Proven experience in merchandising, category management, commercial, or buying leadership roles
- Strong exposure to building materials, hardline products, industrial distribution, technical products, or large-scale non-food retail
- Experience managing high SKU complexity and nationwide operations
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management capabilities
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing medium-to-large teams
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and business acumen
