Position Summary
The Auto Collision Estimator is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience while accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, coordinating with insurance companies, and managing the repair process from start to finish. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and knowledgeable in collision repair procedures and estimating systems.
Responsibilities
- Create accurate repair estimates using CCC ONE (preferred), Mitchell, Audatex, or similar estimating platforms.
- Perform complete damage analysis, including disassembly estimates, supplements, and final repair estimates.
- Research and follow OEM repair procedures to ensure safe and proper repairs.
- Educate customers throughout the repair process, including insurance procedures, repair timelines, customer rights, and repair recommendations.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding repair status and expected completion dates.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding estimates, supplements, approvals, and claims processing.
- Determine repair versus replacement recommendations based on OEM standards.
- Prepare insurance documentation and estimate reports.
- Verify customer payments and required documentation before vehicle delivery.
- Schedule repair appointments and maintain organized repair files.
- Order, receive, inspect, and return parts as necessary.
- Monitor parts deliveries and communicate delays with vendors and production staff.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing SBC Auto Collision professionally.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum of 3 years of collision estimating or related automotive experience
- Experience using collision estimating software
- Strong understanding of OEM repair procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following is highly valued:
- Fleet repair management
- I-CAR training or certification
- Proficient in both Mitchell and CCCone estimating systems

Pay: $52,000.00 – $72,800.00 per year
