Business Development Manager – Fans/Motors | £50,000 – £65,000
We're working with a globally recognised leader in HMI components and innovative automation solutions on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a high-energy hunter to drive growth across the UK market, leveraging technical expertise in motors, drives, and specialized cooling systems.
This is a strategic, home-based role where you will bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and commercial success. You will be the face of a high-performing business, selling design-led solutions into the transport and automotive giants of tomorrow.
The Role
- Drive aggressive sales growth across the UK within the transport, automotive, and industrial machinery sectors.
- Manage and scale high-value existing accounts while proactively hunting for new business opportunities in automation and electromechanical systems.
- Partner with engineering teams to provide technical insights on stepper motors, servo systems, and fan technologies for bespoke design-in projects.
- Develop and execute long-term sales strategies to increase market share in the UK and Northern Europe.
- Act as a technical consultant, ensuring product expertise translates into long-term commercial partnerships and high-retention accounts.
What You'll Need
- Proven track record in Technical Sales or Business Development specifically within the Fans, Motors, or Variable Speed Drives (VSD) sectors.
- Deep industry knowledge of Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, Drives, and general Automation components.
- Experience selling high-spec components into the Transportation, Automotive, or Heavy Machinery manufacturing markets.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to manage a remote UK territory and execute strategic sales plans independently.
- Strong technical literacy with the ability to discuss HMI (Human Machine Interface) and design-led engineering solutions with key stakeholders.
