Role Description
This is a full-time, Business Development Manager role based in Belfast. The Business Development Manager will identify, target, and onboard new trade customers, distributors, and workshop partners across Belfast. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, conducting regular customer visits, and presenting NAPA product ranges and value propositions. The role involves analysing territory performance, tracking sales pipelines, and preparing accurate forecasts and activity reports. The Business Development Manager will also collaborate with marketing and product teams on campaigns, support pricing and promotional strategies, and gather market and competitor insights to drive growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, field sales, or account management, ideally within automotive parts, aftermarket, or related industries.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Commercial awareness and ability to interpret sales, margin, and market data to inform territory plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a field-based schedule across a defined region.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting and pipeline management.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly across Belfast and Northern Ireland.
- Experience in the automotive sector, trade counter, or workshop environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Relevant qualification in business, sales, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
