The company operates specialized EV service workshops, imports and resells electric vehicles, and installs high-voltage traction batteries. Mobility Alliance also provides corporate consultancy in mobility and transport management, imports new and used EV spare parts, and has pioneered the popularization of e-bikes in the local market. In addition, the team engages in advocacy and collaboration with government bodies on sustainable mobility, energy transition, and micromobility, while developing training resources and offering consultancy to strengthen the EV ecosystem.
Role Description The Automotive Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Colombo. The technician will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including inspections, diagnostic checks, and scheduled services for electric and conventional vehicles. Daily responsibilities include conducting oil changes where applicable, performing automotive repairs, and ensuring proper functioning of key systems such as suspension, brakes, and drivetrains. The role involves identifying faults, recommending repair solutions, maintaining accurate service records, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The technician will collaborate with service advisors and other team members to deliver efficient, reliable service and support continuous improvement in workshop operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for electric and conventional vehicles.
- Hands-on experience in Automotive Repair, including diagnostics and component replacement.
- Ability to perform Oil Changes and related routine service tasks accurately and safely.
- Knowledge and practical experience with Suspension systems, including inspection and repair.
- Technical or vocational qualification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with electric vehicle systems and safety procedures is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and customers.
- Previous experience in a workshop or service center environment is an advantage.
