Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled A level to high B level Service Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be capable of diagnosing and repairing various types of makes and models of vehicles. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles operates efficiently and safely and adhering to the company standards.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic instruments.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Replace defective parts and components as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure optimal performance of all vehicles.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate clearly with both the team and customers of known mechanical issue and steps needed to rectify them.
- Assist in delivering and picking up vehicles from our sales lot.
- Having the ability to pivot and/or jump to higher priority tasks as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with using diagnostic tools is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
