Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role based in Thunder Bay, ON. The Automotive Technician will perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and fluid checks, while also diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on a wide range of vehicles. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting concerns, completing suspension and brake work, performing general repairs, and documenting all services in a clear and accurate manner. The technician will use diagnostic tools and shop equipment, follow manufacturer and shop repair procedures, and adhere to all safety and cleanliness standards. The role also involves communicating findings and recommendations to the service advisor or management team to support transparent, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and routine Oil Changes, with the ability to follow recommended service schedules and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Automotive Repair and general Maintenance & Repair across multiple systems (e.g., brakes, engine, electrical, drivetrain).
  • Experience with Suspension inspection, diagnosis, and repair to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
  • Relevant automotive technician certification, apprenticeship, or trade qualification (or progress toward completion) is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
  • Comfort using modern diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop technology in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, customer-focused environment.
