Position Summary

The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. They learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, repair procedures, and customer interaction to explain repair services while delivering exceptional service in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay & Compensation

Hourly base pay ranges from $17.50 to $26.30. Technicians earn flat‑rate pay for each eligible task, with the company covering ASE test registration fees and rewarding bonuses for passing exams. This structure encourages efficiency and ensures fair compensation for expertise.

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage starting day one; paid vacation and holidays; a 401(k) match; and an on‑demand pay program.

Responsibilities

  • Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
  • Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Maintain tires and install parts.
  • Road test vehicles.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years; the company pays registration fees and offers bonuses for passing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
  • Valid automobile driver’s license and capability to operate customer and company vehicles.
  • Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair, including oil changes, inspections, tire repair, and essential reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational‑technical school program related to automotive maintenance.
  • Demonstrated skills via third‑party certificates/assessments or current A.S.E. certification.
