Job description
Seeking a Service Writer with experience. Unfortunately we do not have time to train anyone from scratch at this time. We need an advisor with bare minimum of 3 years experience in a shop. Preferably an independent shop. We’re a busy and fast growing automotive service center with lots of opportunity for growth.
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Generate repair orders and provide detailed explanations of recommended services
- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Provide estimates for automotive services and obtain customer approval
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure necessary parts are ordered and available for repairs
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
Skills required for this job :

Need to have a basic understanding of the anatomy of automobiles and how they work

You must know how to dress nicely and keep good hygiene

Must be able to operate a computer and type efficiently

Automotive service knowledge, including understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Proficient in computer systems and software used for generating repair orders and invoices

Cash handling experience is preferred
