Role Description

The Automotive Parts Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Chamblee, GA. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the dealership's Parts Department, including inventory management, purchasing, receiving, pricing, and distribution of OEM parts and accessories. The Parts Manager works closely with the Service Department, technicians, advisors, vendors, and wholesale customers to ensure parts are available efficiently while maximizing departmental profitability and customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the parts team
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels
  • Monitoring key performance metrics
  • Minimizing obsolete inventory
  • Utilizing the CDK Dealer Management System to manage department operations, and ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards
  • The Parts Manager is expected to drive operational excellence while delivering an exceptional experience to both internal and external customers

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have prior experience as an Automotive Parts Manager in a dealership environment.
  • Candidates must have hands-on experience using the CDK Dealer Management System.
  • Candidates must have experience working with General Motors (GM) brands or within a GM dealership.
  • Candidates should possess strong inventory management and inventory control skills, including purchasing, stock management, and inventory optimization.
  • Candidates should have a proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing parts team.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of OEM automotive parts, warranty parts processes, and dealership operations.
  • Candidates should possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Candidates should have experience monitoring departmental profitability, inventory turns, and key performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Experience building wholesale parts business and maintaining vendor relationships is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dealership reporting tools is beneficial.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional automotive, business, or management training is a plus.
  • Clean Driving Record.
