Responsibilities
- Manage all daily operations of the Parts Department to maximize profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Lead, train, motivate, and develop parts department staff
- Maintain proper inventory levels to support retail, wholesale, and service operations
- Monitor inventory controls, obsolescence, stocking levels, and manufacturer return programs
- Establish and achieve departmental sales, gross profit, and expense objectives
- Work closely with service management to ensure timely parts availability and workflow efficiency
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and wholesale customers
- Analyze departmental reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, dealership policies, and safety procedures
- Oversee warranty parts retention and return processes
- Manage parts ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory reconciliation
- Promote a culture of exceptional customer service and teamwork throughout the department
Qualifications
- Previous Automotive Parts Management experience required
- GM / Chevrolet experience preferred
- CDK experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of dealership parts operations, inventory management, and manufacturer programs
- Proven track record of achieving sales, profitability, and inventory performance goals
- Experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
