About the Position of Automotive Mechanic
As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, our automotive mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications
Eligibility requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent, or a combination of education, training, and experience that shows ability to perform duties and responsibilities
- Extensive tool box of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs
Preferred additional qualifications:
- State inspection license(s)
- ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5)
Physical Requirements
Automotive mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. They regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
