Position: Automotive Mechanic for Mining Operations
Location: Wawa
Wesdome is hiring an Automotive Mechanic to enhance our mining operations at the Eagle River mine. Engage in vehicle maintenance and support tasks, all while working in a picturesque, remote environment.
As an Automotive Mechanic, you’ll report directly to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. Your main duties will include the diagnosis and repair of service trucks and light-duty vehicles. Strong technical skills and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring equipment reliability and safety. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose issues in mechanical and electrical systems
• Manage accurate work orders and inspection reports
• Support winterization programs in seasonal changes
• Maintain organizational standards and safety procedures
Requirements:
• Automotive Service Technician Certificate (310S) required
• Proven experience with vehicle repairs in industrial settings
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Computer literate and able to adapt in remote areas
• Excellent time-management and collaborative skills
