Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance procedures to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems effectively.
- Work on diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics tasks when required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability upon completion.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, powertrain, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics with familiarity in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and perform repairs based on technical documentation.
- Experience repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and communication.
- Valid certifications related to automotive repair; ASE certification is highly desirable.
